Discussion Event – 29th September 2024
We eagerly anticipate your presence at our next one!
At this event, we discussed the music and dance of Son Cubano, the Grandfather of Salsa. This was an interactive discussion with instruments to explain the rhythm, the dance, and how this interacts with modern day ‘Salsa’ and of course the music.
It was simply a way to open up discussion, raise questions and openly explore the music and dance. We received some great feedback after the event, which will help us when organising the next ones!
We were being supported by the Suffolk Community Foundation with this event, so it was free of charge, however we were accepting donations to our CiC so we can bring more to these interactive discussions.

A message from Shaun:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended our third event, making it yet another remarkable gathering.
Special thanks to Deakocan Dance – Osbanis & Anneta for conducting the fantastic workshops. We are also immensely grateful to the various salsa and bachata groups, including Miranda Campbell Anglia Salsa, whose support made the event even more vibrant.
As you may be aware, we are dedicated promoters of Cuban and Latin Culture Dance and Music. With the success of our first three events, we believe it’s essential to gather some initial feedback. Kindly take a moment to share your thoughts through our anonymous feedback form on Google Forms, accessible through this link.
We eagerly anticipate your presence at our next one!
